意味
professional（プロフェッショナル）は「専門職の人」や「職業として行う」という意味の名詞・形容詞です。また、「仕事にふさわしい態度」という意味でも使われます。反対語は「unprofessional（プロらしくない）」です。
英語での意味: "Professional" can describe someone who does a job as their main career (a doctor, a teacher, etc.), or it can describe behavior that is skilled, serious, and appropriate for work. The opposite is "unprofessional," which means careless or inappropriate for a work setting.

使い方のコツ
Note the difference between "professional" (a noun for a skilled worker, e.g. "consult a professional") and the adjective form used for skilled, work-appropriate behavior (e.g. "professional advice," "professional development"). There is also an adverb form, "professionally," used to describe how something is done (e.g. "act professionally"). Be careful with the spelling — it has one "f" and a double "s" (p-r-o-f-e-s-s-i-o-n-a-l), not a double "f" like in "offer" or "different."
