使い方のコツ
"Control" is pronounced /kənˈtroʊl/, with stress on the second syllable. It works as a noun or as a transitive verb (you control something, not "control to" something). When the noun refers to control of a specific thing, pair it with "of" or "over": "take/lose/gain control of ~" or "have control over ~." However, many fixed phrases use "control" without of/over, such as "under control," "out of control," and "lose control" (meaning to lose composure, not control of a specific object).
